RATTAN: NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE
RATTAN: NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE
When someone mentions wickerwork, rattan is usually one of the first things that comes to people’s mind.
Rattan can be wicker, but not all wicker is made from rattan, although the terms are often confused. Wicker is a form of weaving, the process of creating woven items.
Rattan can sometimes be mistaken with bamboo as they have a similar appearance. Different from bamboo, rattan is solid and can be bent easily/flexible. It is a vine-like species, native and grows fast in tropical regions like in Vietnam.
In the manufacturing process, they are first harvested and cut into the required sizes. To make the strips more pliable, they will be steamed and dried before being formed into a desired shape. After being prepared, through the hands of skilled local artisans, the rattan strips will be woven or bind into a frame to make beautiful furniture or accessories.
With our charming rattan collection, giving you that tropics-inspired look, they can enrich the beauty of your home exteriors and interiors. They are also very friendly to the environment as they are durable and bio-gradable.
